32-year-old male killed in Farmington

FARMINGTON – A 32- year-old man is dead and a 24-year-old male in custody after a Wednesday night shooting in a single-family home on Sunset Terrace in Unionville, according to Farmington Police.
A 9-1-1 call came in from a single single-family home on Sunset Terrace at 10:56 p.m. Wednesday, according to a police press release.
The caller said a shooting had occurred and responding officers found a 32-year-old male, who has now been identified as Farmington resident, Jorge Tejada Camacho, lying in bed with multiple gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel from the Police and Fire Departments along with AMR ambulance began medical care for the victim, who was transported to St. Francis Hospital and later pronounced dead at 12:09 a.m. Thursday.
Responding officers investigating the shooting quickly learned the name of a suspect, who had allegedly left the scene in the victim's vehicle. After a police radio broadcast, a Farmington officer located the vehicle on Route 4. Officers subsequently were able to forcibly stop the vehicle on I-84, police said.
The suspect, 24-year-old Deondre Dominique Linder, was arrested and charged with Murder, Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Risk of Injury to a Child, and Reckless Endangerment. He was arraigned at GA 14 on March 17 and is being held on a 1-million-dollar bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 31.
In the American justice system a suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
